I tried the hose attachment to clean the family room couch. It took some time to figure out the best head attachment to use and the correct technique that would not make a mess. I tried the green head first but found it difficult so switched to the smaller gray head. The smaller one worked better for me.
One of the attachments has a small container with rubber brush extensions, which ticks off all the boxes on my wish list for the ideal machine.
I found that the upholstery attachment does not suction well, even after following all the tips. It was disappointing.
Using the attachments made a mess and were not worth it.

I had to go through 3 tank refills for a bedroom at the recommended setting but could only pull up 1/2 a tank waste water. This indicates that the vacuum strength of the carpet-upholstery-cleaning-machine is not good enough to clean the carpet properly.
The vacuum cleared out a strip of carpet without shutting down when I used the tool, indicating strong suction. However, I'm not entirely confident this isn't a defect.
