I had a tough decision between POR-15 and Locktite rust neutralizer to cover the anti-rust factor while repairing my 1970 GTO windshield channel. I chose Locktite rust neutralizer and it worked well for me.

The product is a tan colored suspension that heavily coats the surface and dries slowly. After wiping away the powder residue, there was evidence of darkening but the rust remained. I reapplied and let it set for 14 hours. The rusted area had darkened to deep blue/black color and every evidence of rust wiped off with the residue leaving a perfectly smooth rust-free black shiny surface.
