After applying the care-corrosion-rust-inhibitor once, I could see a significant difference already.
I am unsure if the product removes or neutralizes rust, but everything looks good so far.
I compared it with rust converters and found that it dissolves the rust instead of leaving a black surface.

It took me 20 minutes to clean up all the drill bits and remove the rust forming around the drill.
I have noticed that the instructions provided with the product are lacking. The manufacturer recommends wiping off the gunge before it dries, but it is not possible when cleaning a bicycle chain or gear cassette, as the gunge gets inside the chain links and gear teeth.
I wanted the chemical to dissolve the rust without having to do more work by hand, but I realized that I had to brush or scrub while it was working away. This shows that I have used the product and have faced this problem personally.
