I tried using the product several times to remove aluminum oxidation (powdering) from some areas, but it was not effective. I plan to test it on some polished items under the hood and will update my rating accordingly.

After applying the product, I was able to remove the rusted part with a steel brush and a couple of whacks from a rubber mallet.
I found it very easy to use and was able to remove the layer of brake dust with mild agitation and hosed it off.
