About Alpine UTE-73BT Advanced Bluetooth Mech-Less Digital Media Receiver
90% liked the installation flexibility
Installing the stereo was fairly easy.
I installed the car-stereo-receiver in a classic car which was never meant for this type of head unit. It required some custom installation but I was able to get it to fit and work with the help of some additional 3D-printed custom brackets/spacers. Based on my experience, the car-stereo-receiver can be installed in a classic car with some custom work.
86% appreciated the user interface, yet 14% found it somewhat confusing
I found the menu a bit difficult to get used to, but it is pretty intuitive. The instruction manual does a good job of explaining where all the features are.
I have noticed that the screen scratches easily, but it is expected at this price point. Rephrased: At this price point, the screen is expected to scratch easily.
73% found it compatible with other devices
Initially, Bluetooth was a bit difficult to figure out, but once I did, it worked perfectly.
Bluetooth connectivity is flawless every time, which is a notable engineering accomplishment, as I have faced problems with other bluetooth devices.
My phone is not picking up the Bluetooth connection. I am yet to figure out if there is a sync button or something.
After installing the latest firmware, I noticed that the unit no longer interacts with Pandora directly.

88% appreciated the power output, but 12% wished for more consistent
While traveling at faster speeds, I can hear the car stereo receiver with enough power.
Without it, aftermarket speakers will sound flat as the watts from the unit itself are not enough to power them.
I expected the RCA output to be at least 3.5 to 4 volts, but it was only 2 volts, despite being Alpine quality.
91% liked the audio quality, nevertheless, 9% found distortions
The sound quality is great. The installation was easy and it is easy to use.
The Alpine head unit has good quality sound and is easy to use. The wiring is of good quality and doesn't produce any noise.
The sound quality is terrible, comparable to a $30 unbranded Bluetooth deck.
