About ATOTO S8 Premium 10 inch Double-DIN Car Stereo
Overall Feedback:
96% positive
88% appreciated the intuitive volume control, but 12% raised concerns
Having physical buttons for volume, skip and home is a nice feature.
The audio output is clear and delightful to use with easy-to-operate volume control.
I suggest bringing back the rotating volume control as it is more comfortable than the (+) and (-) control.
I find the push buttons for volume +/- a bit cumbersome and miss the factory volume knob. I am considering hacking the SWC input and using a rotary encoder with an Arduino to get a turning knob.
92% highlighted the exceptional screen quality, but 8% didn't
The touch screen on my new device has better contrast than my previous Pioneer.
The OLED screen looks beautiful and very HD. The glare and reflections while driving in the day are not bad.
A larger screen unit would make it an awesome feature to have.
The screen is large and easy to see in bright daylight.
I was able to install the car-in-dash-navigation-gps-unit myself with the help of a youtube tutorial and a $4 socket set from Walmart. The installation process was not hard at all.
I appreciate the presence of tactile physical buttons on my car's in-dash navigation GPS unit. It makes it easy to use while driving, especially for simple tasks like adjusting the volume.
It's difficult to control the volume and turn it off without fumbling around in the dark. The bottom buttons don't illuminate, making it hard to see while driving at night.
