About Miele Blizzard CX1 Pure Suction Bagless Canister Vacuum Cleaner
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
86% liked the attachments and accessories, although 14% disliked
All the attachments are stored on the back of my vacuum and the wand hooks into the side, so all the attachments are always with me.
The attachments serve their purposes without fanfare and allow me to attack crevices or narrow spaces where dry cat food and small mints tend to collect.
I have noticed that the cleaning nozzles can be easily and quickly replaced. The canister base has built-in holders for the crevice nozzle and upholstery nozzle, but not for the dusting nozzle and floorbrush nozzle.
I have a foot switch on the head to release the wand when it is stored upright and another to change the brush height. There are five height positions to choose from, depending on the surface being vacuumed.
I have detailed the attachments and accessories of the canister vacuum cleaner, including a floorbrush with swiveling head, a crevice nozzle, an upholstery nozzle, and a dusting brush with natural bristles.
I am dissatisfied with the design of the slide clip on the back of the parquet floor twister. It has gotten soft and cracked off, making it impossible to attach the cleaning hose to the machine for storage.
81% liked the filtration system, yet 19% experienced issues
The fine dust filter is self-cleaning and collects up to 99.98%* of dust and allergens. It enters self-cleaning mode when it senses a specified amount of dust accumulation, which takes about 20 seconds to clean itself.
The vacuum cleaner has HEPA filtration which leaves the house smelling fresh and reduces floating dust.
The filtration system is great and doesn't let fine dust escape back into the rooms.
There are three filter/strainer gizmos besides the main dust collector that need to be kept track of and emptied or cleaned.
96% appreciated the noise level
This vacuum cleaner is very quiet. When I turned it on for the first time, I didn't even realize it was on.
90% liked the suction power
The machine has great suction power on both carpet and hardwood floors.
87% found it versatile on various surfaces
The parquet tool included in the vacuum cleaner is excellent on wood and tile floors. It glides along without scratching the finish and picks up all dirt and debris with ease.
I am impressed with the versatility of the canister-vacuum-cleaner, especially the adjustable height of the handles and the ability to change it to a short handheld and use the tools.
89% appreciated the weight and maneuverability, but 11% found it cumbersome
The canister is very maneuverable with 360 degree wheels. I compared it with my old vacuum which used to topple over, but this canister has yet to turn over while maneuvering around corners or over cords.
The vacuum cleaner is difficult to maneuver because it is very heavy.
I appreciate the real attachments on this Miele bagless model, but I am not satisfied with the quality of the attachments that come with it. The dusting brush is cheap and the floor tool is all-plastic, unlike the metal base of the old model.
The auto off feature where you place the handle in a little slot is completely unsupported and the weight of the hose and handle are going to break that little switch.
