About HILLMAN 3-4 Season 2 3 Person Lightweight Backpacking Tent
Overall Feedback:
84% positive
89% liked the capacity, however 11% didn't
The tent is not spacious enough for two people unless we keep our gear outside.
94% appreciated its light and portable design
The tent is easy to carry and although not the lightest, it is still quite light.
92% found it weather resistant
I suggest that the seam tape could be wider for better water resistance, which means the tent may not be completely weather-resistant.
89% liked the excellent ventilation, but 11% experienced condensation issues.
I think the tent design needs improvement in terms of ventilation. There was an incredible amount of condensation inside, leaving the floor and sides quite wet.
91% found it easy to set up
The tent is fast and easy to set up.
89% appreciated the material quality
The build quality of our entry-level tent is superior with very few threads left over from stitching and well-taped seams.
With careful set up, the poles are skinny but thick walled and will outlast the tent.
The zippers are of good quality and don't snag.
I noticed that the floor is thicker than expected.
93% were satisfied with the interior features, although 7% expected more
I noticed that the large mesh pocket near the bottom of the door is meant to put the door into when it's fully unzipped, but it was very floppy and wide and didn't hold the door without it falling out.
The large mesh pocket near the bottom of the door is meant to hold the door when fully unzipped, but it is too floppy and wide to do so effectively.
I have used the tent and found it to be a great 1-person tent with plenty of room for me and my stuff. I suggest subtracting at least 1 from the capacity that a tent claims to be comfortable.
