73% praised for its long-lasting durability, while 27% experienced a shorter lifespan

After 5 trips, the filter holds on to odors/flavors, indicating that it may not be durable enough.
68% appreciated its easy cleaning
While hiking and walking the trails, it will be a lifesaver.
By the end of the third day, I had to back-flush the filter by lifting the clean water over the filter and giving that bag a squeeze for five seconds, then right side up and it was good as new.
Back flushing is simpler. Use a clean water bottle against the clean side of the filter to create a seal and squeeze water into it a couple of times.
70% found it easy to use
I find it easy to backflush without any extra attachments using the threads on both ends. The output spout allows me to put clean water directly through a drinking tube into a bladder, without struggling to take the bladder out of a jammed pack.
I prefer to use the HydrBlu Versa Flow with a Cnoc bladder for gravity filtering, which is easier than the basic Sawyer kit.
The filter is easy to use and much easier on the hands and bags.

69% appreciated its effectiveness, but 31% questioned its effectiveness
I am sure the filter will work as described, it's just activated carbon crammed in a tube.
The product filters out the smallest of diseases or bacteria like giardia at 0.1 microns. It's unpleasant to deal with these bugs while stuck in the woods.
The filter effectively removes most of the chlorine taste and doesn't clog as fast without dealing with sediment.
I am not sure if the unit filters water in the same way as a Sawyer does or not. However, I know which filter I will continue to buy for pure drinking water.

I use the filter primarily for backpack camping and have put around 50 gallons or so through each of them.
Together, these two products offer interchangeable parts and excellent filters for backcountry or foreign travel.

When I fill the bladder with dirty water and hang it from a tree branch, the water flows straight into my drinking bottle without any spillage.
