I appreciate the soda-bottle connections on the input sides of the filter, as it makes gravity filtration easier. However, I prefer soda bottle threads on the output side as well, which makes filtering water into another clean bottle easier.
I suggest cleaning and back-flushing the filter regularly to extend its life, as it filters at a smaller micron level.
For hiking or camping trips, the product is fine to use, but not so great in an emergency situation.
