Overall Feedback:
91% positive
89% appreciated the ease of making
It is easy to use and can be thrown in soup or sauce, or soaked before adding to a dish.
Freeze-dried food can be easily added to any pasta dish and cooks in about the same time as noodles.
I found an easy way to add spinach to my food without buying fresh, washing it, and chopping it.
I provided several examples of how to easily prepare the camping-freeze-dried-food, such as crushing it and adding it to eggs, making omelets, adding it to stews, grinding it up and adding it to noodle dough for added nutrition, adding it to smoothies, adding it to cooking meats, and mixing it into meatloaf for a nutrition boost.
85% praised for its delicious taste, while 15% found it lacking
The taste of the food is better than fresh cooked spinach or canned. It also smells wonderful and has a fresh cooking smell.
The taste of the dehydrated spinach is fine, but it tastes more like parsley.
77% praised for its allergen-friendliness
I found a way to add spinach without the trouble of buying fresh, washing it, and chopping it, indicating that the product is allergen friendly.
86% praised for its high nutritional value
I love to add flakes to my smoothies with berries to increase the nutritional value. I also hide a handful of flakes in my spaghetti sauce and other casseroles.
90% appreciated its long shelf life
Spinach flakes have a long shelf life and can be used for a long time.
The can of dehydrated spinach flakes has a shelf life of June 2047.
I found several ideas for using these dehydrated potatoes, including making potato flour, adding cheese sauce for scalloped potatoes, using in stews, adding to cooking meats, and mixing into meatloaf to extend the meat.
I advise eating the product at your own risk as it may not be allergen friendly. It's worth noting that I haven't experienced any allergies myself.
