About YETI Tundra Haul Portable Wheeled Cooler
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
73% appreciated its rugged and durable design, though 27% experienced issues with leakage
The build quality is decent and the rubber latches are easy to manipulate. If it's just going to sit there, the lid doesn't need to be relatched.
With proper care, I believe this cooler could be passed down to the next generation and beyond.
The cooler's build quality is sturdy even when pulling it through the sand.
There are major scratches on the outside and inside of the lid, a long scratch on the interior, and the rubber gasket along the perimeter of the interior of the lid is warped.
69% liked the spacious capacity
With 20 pounds of ice, I was able to keep 40 drinks and lots of food cold for the entire duration, even with frequent openings.
78% liked how easy it was to clean, but 22% found it difficult
I can move the cooler around easily, but it doesn't keep ice for 5 days as promised.
73% praised for its leak-resistant performance, but 27% experienced leakage issues
The cooler held proteins for five days without any issue, but it leaks when placed on its side. I'm unsure if it's a defect or if it can't be placed vertically.
I noticed water leakage from the lid area of the cooler when some of the ice had melted.
On the first day, the cooler leaked everywhere and did not keep the ice from thawing.
I like the cooler but it has limited use without a drain plug.
74% found it easy to carry and maneuver, while 26% found it too heavy
The wheels are a game changer. It's easy to load and roll wherever I need to go.
I wish the cooler handle had a locking mechanism as it gets caught on random things.
84% praised for its exceptional performance, while 16% experienced temperature fluctuations
I compared the temperature retention of two coolers, the Yeti and the Coleman, over 4 days. The Yeti retained half of its ice, while the Coleman melted entirely by day three.
In the back of my truck with no sun, the Yeti cooler was unable to retain the temperature for 2 days. All 3 Yeti ice blocks melted and all the food was room temperature.
I expect this product to last for years, indicating my high level of satisfaction with the build quality.
