The zippers are nice, material is pretty durable and the stitching is done really nice.
The replacement cooler did not leak at all. I think the first one was just a fluke in a bad production lot.
The Maelstrom has a sturdy construction with nice features like padded lower back with a pocket behind it to protect thin valuables, padded shoulder blade area, mesh zip pocket under the main compartment lid, a strap above one of the mesh side pockets to hold in a taller item and cinch straps for the side pockets.
The backpack is lightweight, waterproof, and holds ice really well. Although it is not as efficient as my big black backpack at keeping the ice cold, it still does the job. I love how lightweight it is and how many pockets it has. It even has a bottle opener on the side. It is my favorite and one of the best things I have ever bought on Amazon.
