About REDCAMP Mini Alcohol Stove for Backpacking
Overall Feedback:
90% positive
85% impressed by the boil time, but 15% found it slower
After drilling holes in the base of the stove, I reduced the boil time to 9 minutes.
While camping, it takes me 18 minutes to boil water, but it's okay since I have limited time.
I can boil 28oz of water in about 20 minutes at 80degF temperatures.
On this stove, it takes 12-15 minutes to boil 2 cups of water.
88% appreciated the durable construction, but 12% experienced issues
The product's quality is good for the price. Initially, I thought the burner was aluminum which worried me, but it's actually copper, which is durable and long-lasting.
I thought the brass would be thinner but it is quite thick and seems durable over the long run.
The product is fairly durable and light in weight.
The stove's quality is good for the price. Initially, I thought the burner was aluminum, but it's actually copper, which is better for durability and longevity.
The stove has a nice lightweight and fairly durable brass construction.
The stove has impeccable build quality, but it takes 5-6 minutes to prime which is not acceptable. Despite this issue, I love the stove.
The snuffer/simmer ring pivot point came apart within 30 seconds due to being held together by a burr of metal from the steel plate only.
The stove is well built, but it has a major downside.
87% found it easy to use
I found the stove easy to use, despite negative experiences with backpacking stoves in the past.
Stoves are simple and do not have skirts, which can affect them in windy conditions. However, a skirt can be used to cover them if needed. It's a great way to heat up items and stay warm in a tent.
I was able to get a fire in minutes that was comparable to my kitchen gas stove.
I found the stove easy to use, despite my previous negative experiences with backpacking stoves.
These heaters are easy to use and can be used in various places like tailgate parties, camping, and survival prep. All you need is a supply of alcohol.
I was able to get a fire that rivaled my kitchen gas stove in just minutes.
85% praised the flame control, while 15% struggled
The flame control/flame damper is a great addition.
I was able to adjust the flame and manage its spread to some extent.
I like the temperature control feature and it works very well.
I complained that the flame dampener/adjuster was not functional out of the box and too tightly attached to the lid, causing the lever to come off while attempting to slide it.
I advise being cautious when lighting the stove for the first time. Place your hand high up over the top of the burner to check for heat before attempting to light it again, as the flame may not be visible unless it is dark.

The product is lightweight and worth having. I am going to purchase more as gifts and it could be a life saver.
I could not resist the price of this stove/stand/carry case, making it a great option for portability of camping-backpacking stoves.

91% appreciated the wind resistance, but 9% experienced issues
I advise using a windbreak with the stove as it is very sensitive to wind.

I boiled water in less than 5 minutes on a lower setting with a camp kettle.
