About SKYEMAC Portable Camping Wood Burning Stove
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
91% impressed by the boil time
After more than an hour of burn time, the steel doesn't warp.
93% appreciated the durable construction, but 7% experienced issues
This stove is very light and suitable for backpacking.
I have used the stove for about 10 burns and experienced minimal warping on the bottom plate, but it doesn't affect the usefulness of the stove. It has turned a beautiful bronze color.
I warn that the stove is made of thin metal, making it lightweight and compact but also dangerous to handle due to the risk of cuts.
96% found it easy to use, while 4% experienced difficulties
It is lightweight, compact and easy to put together with included directions.
The Skyemac fire pit is ultra portable and easy to assemble, packing into a small canvas pouch.
It may be difficult to assemble the first time, but it gets easier with more use.
I had to wear gloves to protect my hands, but then I lost dexterity and it became difficult to fit the pieces together.
95% praised the flame control, while 5% struggled
After the fire gets going, there is no smoke because combustion is complete.
The fire pit worked well in keeping the fire small and contained.
If not used responsibly, this product can scorch the ground and potentially start a ground fire.
94% liked the portable design
This camping stove is lightweight, compact and easy to put together with the included directions.
This stove is a great backpacking item as it is very light.
Its lightweight and flat design make it excellent for backpacking.
It is easy to put together and light for stainless steel.
82% appreciated the wind resistance
I have noticed that the air flow is top notch and we also get a free bellows, indicating good wind resistance.
The boil time of this stove varies depending on the temperature of the air and the density of the wood being used. For instance, when the air temperature was above freezing, I could boil 24oz of water by filling the stove to the top with oak twigs, but when the air temperature was below freezing, sometimes I needed to refill the stove to boil 16oz of water.
