About MSR WhisperLite Universal Compact Hybrid Fuel Camping and Backpacking Stove
80% impressed by the boil time, but 20% found it slower
When using this stove to melt snow or boil water, the bottles near the flame get a diesel taste on/in them.

I feel that the stove is very solid, which could indicate its durability.

77% praised the flame control, while 23% struggled
The biggest improvement in performance is the improved flame control system when using liquid gas. It allows for simmering and provides more control over the burner flame.
I have found that the flame control is very good and can simmer at a very low flame.
I noticed that the stove produces large flames everywhere and the fuel spills out, resulting in a fire on the ground. Additionally, the flame control of the stove is poor. The stove produces large flames and spills fuel, resulting in fires on the ground. The flame control is poor.
86% liked the portable design, while 14% thought it was bulky
White gas is cheaper compared to N-butane.
My only complaint is its weight, it's not that light.
I bought this stove to use butane canisters and backpack with. It boils water quickly, has good flame control and is able to simmer at a very low flame. However, the hose coming off of it is a little too stiff and I would prefer if the stove did not move the bottle around and vice versa.
88% appreciated the wind resistance, but 12% experienced issues
If I want to boil water quickly and carry a super light pack, there are lighter options available. The main downside of backpacking with this stove is its weight.
I love ISO fuel stoves like the Pocket Rocket, but they perform poorly in windy conditions and have sporadic full delivery in cooler temps. Using the ISO fuel bottle inverted and a wind screen makes it my go-to stove.
