About CANWAY Camping Wood Stove/Backpacking Stove
Overall Feedback:
95% positive
87% impressed by the boil time, but 13% found it slower
The boil time of this stove varies depending on the temperature of the air and the density of the wood being used. For instance, when the air temperature was above freezing, I could boil 24oz of water by filling the stove to the top with oak twigs, but when the air temperature was below freezing, sometimes I needed to refill the stove to boil 16oz of water.
The stove burned perfectly and boiled a pot of water with enough time left for a second pot.
I have noticed that the boil time of the stove varies depending on the temperature of the air, water, and the density of the wood used. When air temperatures were below freezing, sometimes I needed to refill the stove to boil 16oz of water.
88% appreciated the durable construction, but 12% experienced issues
I am satisfied with my purchase and find the product durable.
I remembered using the stove I stored with my camping equipment to cook meals and boil water. It's durable enough to use in camping and I only use it outside.
I found that the stove is durable as it can still be used with leaves and twigs.
I am satisfied with the quality of the product, but have concerns about the durability of the 3 prongs for long-term use.
I found the stove easy to assemble, pack, and use. Plus, I don't have to remember to pack fuel.
I find the stove to be very well made and easy to use.
The stove is easy to use and works very well.
I was able to get the stove burning quickly by using twigs and a little alcohol.
When I used solid alcohol tabs, the burner was easy to assemble and disassemble.
83% praised the flame control, while 17% struggled
The heat generated by the stove flows directly upwards with the convection current and only the flames radiate noticeable heat.
The flame height cannot be controlled and it lets off some sparks. However, using pellets can reduce the sparks.
It's difficult to keep the flame going on this stove due to its small size. The flame goes out several times after adding even small amounts of fuel. If you dont add fuel often enough, it also goes out easily. I feel like I have to nearly smother the fire with fuel to keep a flame.
90% liked the portable design, while 10% thought it was bulky
The kit fits perfectly in my MSR 775ml stowaway pot, indicating its portability.
In windy climates, it can be tedious, but carrying a small canister with poisonous gas is worse.
I cooked multiple items using wood pellets and it worked well.
I took the product with me for camping over the weekend, indicating its portability.

I can bring a 1 qt pot of water to a boil in less than 5 minutes.
