Overall Feedback:
85% positive
76% praised the sharp and durable blade, while 24% found it needed frequent sharpening
The axe is very sharp and attaching the sheath is not easy.
The axe is very sharp and attaching the sheath is difficult, indicating good blade quality.
I was able to chop down small trees with ease, hammer stakes into the ground with minimal aggravation, and even shave bark off staves for hours using the axe. This indicates that the blade quality is good.
The blade came dull and without any rust prevention treatment.
The blade came dull and was not treated to prevent rust.
I am disappointed with the build quality of the product. The blade has huge dings and dents in it, as if it has been taken to the concrete, and I am worried about its longevity.
I noticed that the blade was dull and not treated to prevent rust.
I am disappointed with the build quality of the product. For the price, I expected it to be more durable. The blade already has huge dings and dents in it, as if it was taken to the concrete.
68% liked the easy maintenance, but 32% found it required frequent sharpening
I received a dull blade that was not treated with silicone or any rust-preventing substance.
I suggest wrapping the handle with absorbent material to solve the problem of it getting slick when wet.
I expected the product to be more durable considering its price.
74% liked the comfortable and balanced handle, but 26% found it slippery
The hatchet handle is uncomfortable to hold without gloves and lacks grip.
The handle of the axe is made of hard plastic that gets slick when wet. I suggest wrapping it with some sort of absorbent material.
89% appreciated the lightweight and compact design, although 11% found it too heavy
The product is only redeemable for being cheap and light weight.
The only positive aspect of the axe is that it is cheap and light weight.
The SOG hatchet feels more like a utility tomahawk than a hatchet due to its short handle and light weight.
The axe is difficult to carry around while camping as it has no way to hook it to your belt and is fiddly to remove from the blade.
I doubt the axe's ability to kill a large bear before it kills me, but it would be better than using my fists if the bear spray misses.
