I can tell that the product is of quality when I hold it. It feels great in my hands and I am satisfied with the build quality after using it several times.
The axe is durable, reliable, and has a nice tactical look with a razor sharp edge.
We will use bamboo mekugi pins instead of screws for the pins, as the ito will compress the whole thing and keep everything together.
Upon reading reviews, I found that each screw was basically super glued in. However, I still suggest 2 things, indicating that the quality is very good.
I read in the reviews that the build quality of the axe is good, but each screw was basically super glued in.
67% liked the easy maintenance, but 33% found it required frequent sharpening
The axe is of great quality, came razor sharp, has a nice tactical look, is durable, reliable, and sexy.
I suggest wrapping paracord around the handle of the axe to make it easier to manage and insulate the handle when managing wood for a fire.
I find the ergonomics of the composite scales lacking and the overall feel uncomfortable.
After 4 days of use, the hammer allen key bolts loosened. I recommend loc-tightening all allen key bolts.
The composite scales are a decent choice, but the ergonomics are lacking. The overall feel of the scales is not comfortable. They are reasonably sharp to the touch, though this is easily correctable by sanding them down over the course of a few minutes.
After 4 days of use, the hammer allen key bolts loosened. It is recommended to loc-tight all allen key bolts.
93% liked the comfortable and balanced handle, but 7% found it slippery
The handle of the axe provides a nice grip and has enough room for hands of all sizes.
The handle is comfortable and swings great.
The handle is comfortable and swings great. Based on my experience, I can say that.
The grip causes blisters and missing skin, making it uncomfortable to use. It's only comfortable to hold, not while using. Wrapping it or wearing gloves can avoid the issue, as suggested by the user.
The product has a limitation of only entering wood up to three inches due to the part where the handle and blade connect, which makes making kindling problematic.
The blade is strong and can cut through everything I've tried. I've only picked up a couple of nicks in the blade since buying it, usually from either a rock stuck in the wood or a nail.
