I advise against putting a strap in a tight case as it can damage the lens shutting mechanism and/or scratch the LED screen.
I cannot close the zip on the case unless I detach the hand strap each time.
I found the closure mechanism caused excessive movement on the belt and made closing the camera section of the case difficult.

The camera case material feels sturdy, like ballistic nylon, and is not a cheap copy.

The camera slides easily in and out of the pouch without any extra space.
The inside pocket for storing memory cards is too small and the microSDHC Card with Digital/SD card adapter comes in a plastic case that does not fit into the inside pockets. I suggest making these pockets larger.
