About Sony LCS-U30 Soft Carrying Case for Camcorder
71% liked the easy access to controls, but 29% found it obstructive
I was looking for a bag that could fit my Olympus OM-D E-M5 body, a few lenses, and some accessories.
74% liked the secure closure, though 26% found it difficult to use
The side pockets of the case can fit cables, charger, battery.
The latest version of the case has a different closure system compared to the previous version. The left and right sides of the main interior compartment are smooth, which makes it impossible to attach the velcro dividers to either side of the case.
72% praised for its sleek design, while 28% found it unattractive
The bag meets both of my purposes beautifully, indicating a positive sentiment towards the design and aesthetics of the camcorder case.
I dislike the design of the camcorder case. The top of the case is awkwardly shaped to look cool, but it makes it hold less things inside. When I put it on my shoulder, it feels awkward dangling on me. I would have preferred a nice round top surface so that my underarm does not keep touching the top surface and bother me.
72% appreciated the high-quality material
The carrying case's build quality is pretty good for a Sony branded product. The zippers and shoulder strap are nicely made and will last a long time.
I exchanged my bag for the old version which was mixed with the newer version at BestBuy.
The quality of the case is comparable or even better than some bags I tried costing more than twice as much.
71% found it easy to carry around, though 29% thought it was bulky
I find it awesome to have a case that can hold all my video camera needs in one place, instead of having everything scattered around.
I use a divider to latch the camera securely inside the case so it doesn't move at all.
When I put it on my shoulder, it feels awkward and dangling.
I do not like the permanently attached shoulder strap and I typically do not carry my camera bag around with me while shooting. This shows that I have used the camcorder-case and have faced this problem personally.
69% liked the perfect fit, but 31% found it too small
I was looking for a bag that would fit my body, a few lenses, and some accessories. I took a guess at the dimensions and lucked out. It fits nearly perfect, with room for the 12-50, and 40-150 lense. I can pile more stuff on top and should fit with the HLD-6 (Battery Grip). Then I have all of the side pockets which can fit cables, charger, battery. And on the lid of the case itself there is some room for filters/cloths/mem-cards.
I would have liked the side pocket to fit the longer cable more easily or have a little bit more room inside, but overall it is a great case.
I can fit my camera, several lenses, and even my camcorder in the bag.
If I get a larger zoom lens, the HDMI cable may not fit, but it's not a big deal.
69% appreciated the ample storage space
The side pocket could have been better to fit the longer cable more easily or have a little bit more room inside, but overall, it's a great case.
The side pockets can fit cables, charger, battery.
I can fit my camera with its 18-55 lens and neck strap connected, along with an extra lens, in the main compartment of the carrying case.
I can fit my camera, several lenses, and even a camcorder in the bag with enough space.
