About Jinhao Nature Rose Wood Fountain Pen Bent Nib(Fine to Broad Size)
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
71% appreciated the pen's and nib's durability, though 29% found the nib flimsy
I have been using the pen for a while now and decided to raise the review one star upon revisiting it.
I have been working with the pen for several days and it has improved a little but still not satisfactory.
There may be a problem with the nib that requires extensive troubleshooting and repair, but I am not willing to put in that effort since the pen is inexpensive.
90% liked the comfortable grip, while 10% experienced fatigue
The pen is comfortable to hold and does not cause pain after long drawing sessions.
This pen feels well balanced in my hand, not too heavy, and provides a smooth writing experience.
The pen requires excessive pressure and is heavy, which wears out my hand.
73% praised the smooth ink flow, while 27% experienced clogging issues
After some effort, I was able to make the ink flow consistently and write a full page without any skips or blots.
If I don't use the pen every day, the ink flow is not consistent.
I have noticed that the ink frequently stops flowing and requires tapping to help the flow. Additionally, the ink flows excessively, resulting in a messy and illegible handwriting.
When making heavy lines, I noticed that the ink flow is slow and results in railroading.
I found that the pen had inconsistent writing and streaky ink flow even with excessive pressure.
68% praised the leak-resistant design, while 32% experienced messy leaks
From day one, the pen leaked nonstop and the person I gave it to could never use it.
Both pens started leaking profusely within a day and are now unusable.
72% liked the variety of line widths, but 28% found it difficult to control
The ink flows well and creates ultra fine lines like a 005 sakura Pigma, as well as thick lines for filling in large spaces, making it ideal for manga and superhero comic art.
I have noticed that the pen struggles with curved lines, especially if I have fancy glyphs in my penmanship or a flair to my signature.
The ink included with the pen is thinner and comes out as a wet gray on paper. India ink is fairly cheap from hobby lobby and most scary stores, so I suggest using it with these pens for better results.
