I am disappointed with the product as the top and bottom of the cake carrier do not seal at all. The seller is selling a very inconsistent product.
I ordered the cake keeper despite reading reviews about the cover popping off and not staying closed.
The top has tabs that twist into a locking position in the base, but I don't trust it because it's too loose.
The closure mechanism doesn't snap completely shut, no matter which way I set the base.

I was initially unhappy with the cake saver as it didnt snap together or provide a tight fit. But then I realized that I had the lid/base upside down and it fits both ways and was shipped with it in the wrong position. Now I am happy with the design/fit of the cake saver.

The top snaps on and off easily and reliably, and it is very easy to clean.
I suggest using a binder clip around the edges to securely seal the cake during transport and prevent the top from falling off.
I washed the cake carrier in hot soapy water, dried it, and successfully sealed the cover again.
