I think the product is a bit larger than others because of the adhesive backing that can withstand the weight/tension of cables running through it.
I like the actual 3M adhesive strips, but some other products have no label strip and I am not sure if they will damage the finish of what I apply them to.
The cable straps have been holding well both the chords and the adhesive to a painted wood surface.
I am using cable straps in my office for iPhone and iPad connections behind my desk. It keeps the cords from being all over the desk.

I have 5 cables to clip in, but this may not be a concern for others.
When the cord is bulky and pulls the strip up, it can't slide through and detaches.
The cable organizer is fine for normal USB or other cables, but on very slim cables, the gap is so wide that it barely holds the cable in place.

The cable-straps had a defect in both the first box and the replacement, indicating that the product is not durable enough.
I have complained that the cable strap is not durable enough to hold the cable in place, especially with slim cables. The cable popped out of the organizer and I was unable to pull it up by the cable.
