The straps have stayed in place and are sticky.
I bought a two-pack of safety locks, but only needed one for my freezer door. I plan to use the other one on another cupboard door within reach of my pets.
I figured out that the knob can be twisted to adjust the cabinet-lock, and it comes right off, leaving the long white tab open for adjustment.
After 8 months of use, the cabinet-lock-straps' straps gave out, indicating that the product's adjustability was not sufficient.
