I found this bubble wrap easy to use and effective for my needs of covering windows.
I place bubble wrap on the inside of my older windows to help with cold air coming into the house.

The bubble wrap roll is surprisingly light and nice and large, which surprised the mail carrier.
To use the bubble wrap, cut the plastic to size, lightly spray the window with water, and press the bubble side of the wrap to the window. It sticks easily.
I noticed a couple of flat bubbles every foot or so.
A lot of the bubble wrap was not even inflated, and those that were inflated were at a minimum.
