The bread will have a nice plump form with the design of the basket.

73% praised for its sturdy construction
I've found that the linen liner of this banneton has a finer weave and does a better job at not sticking compared to others.
The construction of the Banneton Basket is excellent. It is more difficult to build than rounds, has no large gaps, and the staples/metal fastening devices are neatly recessed, with no sharp protrusions.
The product quality is good, even though my proof basket is slightly different from the other one.
78% liked the non-stick surface
After proofing, the dough came out easily without sticking.
My banneton's linen liner is finer and does a better job at not sticking compared to others.
After a 14 hour stint in the refrigerator, the dough did not stick to the basket and had a pretty swirl pattern.
There is no sticking at all.
78% liked the spacious interior
The basket is perfect for medium loaves.
This Banneton Basket is a better option for bread-proofing as it is taller, wider and longer than other brands claiming to be the same size.
I noticed that the smell of bug extermination is still strong, indicating that there may be poor airflow in the bread-proofing-basket.
The strong smell of bug extermination indicates poor airflow in the bread-proofing-basket.
I appreciate the design of the bread proofing baskets, especially the spiral ring pattern on the dough that gives a professional touch to the final product, making homemade loaves look like they came from a bakery.
My mom's grandfather, a baker in Germany, used baskets to proof their sourdough. It helps with the airflow around the loaf and gives it a good crust. It definitely works to achieve that crunchy crust.
