The binoculars have great water resistance included in the product, not an additional feature to pay for as some require.
I tested the binoculars by dousing them with a hose to check if they are waterproof. There were no problems and everything was dry inside when I removed the lens covers.
The binoculars are listed as waterproof, but that doesn't mean they're suitable for swimming. They hold up well against rain and splashes.
