About Peak Design Anchor Links for Camera Straps (AL-4)
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
96% appreciated the easy adjustability
The design of our product is clever, making it easy to detach or attach the strap without undermining strength.
The quick release of the PD Anchors makes it easy for me to switch from a neck strap to a cross body strap.
86% found the strap to be extremely comfortable, while 14% experienced fatigue
The camera has 4 widgets that can be attached to it, allowing for sharing of one strap between two cameras or placement on different attachment points such as an anchor attached to the tripod hole. This makes it more comfortable to use a large speedlight or heavy lens.
I trust the product, especially when carrying expensive gear.
I like the strap because it has a Kevlar core and does not slip even on wet rain coats and other foul weather gear.
The straps made by Peak Design are great for tall people, but frustratingly long for me. Even at the shortest position, they are far too long.
90% liked the stylish design, while 10% thought it was unappealing.
The knock off product looks similar to the original but its anchor housing is made of a plastic that bends more easily than Peak Designs housings.
I did not like the aesthetic side of the product.
I find Peak Design's straps to be great for tall people, but frustratingly long for short people. However, I still find their accessories very useful even though I can't use their straps.
97% praised the strap's durability
The product is designed with a sprung metal strip and made of plastic without compromising functionality.
The cables on the anchors glide easily over the strap mounts with very little friction, so I think they will last quite a while.
97% found the strap easy to use, while 3% experienced difficulties

90% praised the high-quality materials, but 10% thought they were subpar
The product has a design that ensures functionality, with a sprung metal strip and plastic construction.
The knock off anchor housing is made of a plastic that bends more easily than Peak Designs housings.
The product has cracked twice, causing damage to the camera lens as the circular male portion slid out of the plastic clip.
97% liked the strap's stability, while 3% experienced some movement
I trust the product's stability, which is crucial when dangling thousands of dollars of gear on it.
I have not tested the stability of the binocular-camera-camcorder-straps under stress or weight limit, but they have been fine so far.
The cables on these anchors are sturdy and glide easily over the strap mounts with very little friction, so I believe they will last for a long time.
I have not used the product for long, so I cannot comment on its sturdiness or durability.
Some people find the straps hard to adjust, but if you slide the bottom of the band through the metal band instead of trying to slide the band along the strap, there is no problem at all.
I praise the adjustability of my camera strap, especially the Slide Lites Anchor Link connection system that lets me reconfigure it as a sling, neck, or shoulder strap instantly, giving me the flexibility I need to adapt to various shooting conditions.
