I have noticed that Avery brand binder pockets hold up better than generic versions due to their fairly heavy weight plastic.
The plastic quality seems to be a bit thinner and the width of the pockets has been lessened by almost 1/4 inch. The right edge is now crimped rather than folded over and crimped on the back. The materials don't glide in and out easily anymore, making it a bit of a pain to use. I will be looking for a substitute.

I can fit an entire year's worth of pages in each pocket and it can easily hold twice that amount.
Each pocket has only one forward-facing pocket, but it is wide enough to accept a full 8.5 width sheet.
I had a negative experience with the product as two of the five pockets did not open properly.
The front cover comes up to the top of the page on the left, but only about halfway up the page on the right, creating a visible line where the plastic ends.

I find the pockets useful for protecting multi-page 1099s in a three-ring notebook while preparing tax returns.
I put one of these in every binder to protect the top page of plain paper and store odds and ends that cannot be punched.
I recommend these binder pockets for safe storage as they provide protection and allow for quick access to the contents.
