I suggest sanding the cue down to the bare particle board to improve grip comfort.
I have no trouble handling this cue as a young player and can easily make a shot even when there are obstacles.
Billiard-cue-sticks are great for my grandsons to learn how to play without struggling to grasp a cue that is too long for their arms.
I found the cue stick to be the perfect size and price, but unfortunately the tip fell off after only three uses.

I have found a way to fix the weight distribution of the billiard-cue-sticks by cutting it in half, drilling a hole in the center of each half, cutting the head off a 5/16" bolt, screwing the lag bolt into one half, and screwing the other half onto the other side of the lag bolt.
I expected the cue stick to be heavier and felt it weighed around 10-12 ounces.
