About Yaheetech Fluid Bike Trainer Stand-Indoor Bicycle Training Stand
Overall Feedback:
80% positive
68% appreciated the adjustable design, but 32% had compatibility issues.
The automatic resistance adjustment is a nice feature as it eliminates the need to manually select between 6 resistances and change them throughout the workout. Instead, it uses the bike's gears to do what I want.
There is a minor issue with the adjustment screws of the bike-resistance-trainers. They fit into a depression on a cylindrical metal piece and are only held in place by pressure from the tire, which could be problematic if using your main bike.
I am concerned about the adjustability of the bike-resistance-trainers. There is no adjustment to add resistance and I was surprised that I could pedal at roughly 27 mph without any wind resistance. If anyone knows how to add some resistance, please share. Magnetic versions in the same price range had multiple adjustments, so perhaps those would be a better option.
75% appreciated the sturdy construction, but 25% experienced durability issues.
The build quality of this product is good enough for some heavy use, despite being a no-frills product at a low price.
I am working on a project to build a larger flywheel to improve the smoothness of the stroke and make it more realistic.
I do not recommend the Yaheetech trainer as it is not well built, not solid, and has noise and back wheel shake.
71% found it easy to install
The bike resistance trainer was mostly pre-assembled. I only had to attach the flywheel and the resistance fluid assembly. Fitting the bicycle was the hardest part but it was simple even though it took some fiddling. Based on my experience, it is an experience-rich sentence.
72% liked the quiet operation
After installing a slick, stationary bike tire, the noise level is now less than 43 db, similar to a dishwasher.
I found the sound level pleasant and compared it to the crunch of the chain.
76% found it portable, but 24% had difficulties.
The adjustment screws may drop out of place without the bike, which could be problematic for users using their main bike.
76% praised the resistance level, but 24% found them too limited
Once I warmed up the trainer, it put out a good amount of resistance, making it hard to pedal in high gear.
I don't have the resistance set very high, so I have to ride on my tippy toes at a slow pace or it doesn't keep a steady pace.
I find the resistance level of the bike-resistance-trainers to be insufficient. I can easily pedal at the top gear with very little resistance. I am surprised that there is no adjustment available and I was able to pedal at roughly 27 mph without any wind resistance.
80% appreciated the stable ride, but 20% experienced wobbling.
After 10 sessions, something snapped inside me and the resistance disappeared.
When locking down the bike in-place, the stand flexes slightly and the ratchet pin has a bit of movement.
The automatic resistance adjustment is a nice feature as it eliminates the need to manually select between 6 resistances and change them throughout the workout. Instead, it uses the bike's gears to do what I want.
I can adjust the stand to increase the baseline resistance and change gears while riding to make smaller adjustments.
