About Bike Lane Pro Trainer Bicycle Indoor Trainer
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
74% appreciated the adjustable design, but 26% had compatibility issues.
I am satisfied with the product as it holds me and my bike well. Having the difficulty adjuster on my handlebars is great.
I noticed that the tension adjustment moves once adjusted and is not secured in place.
74% appreciated the sturdy construction, but 26% experienced durability issues.
The product seems well-built and sturdy, but I cannot comment on its longevity since I have not used it for long.
On my first ride, the resistance knob didn't work. I opened up the casing and found that the bit holding the cable in place was disconnected and the cable end was frayed.
76% found it easy to install
Assembling the trainer was fairly quick and the directions were good enough to get the job done.
I found the setup process of the device very easy and tools were provided to do it.
68% liked the quiet operation, while 32% found it too noisy
The noise level is not bad. I only noticed it on the 1st difficulty. At that level, I had to bike at 25-30mph for my neighbor below to complain.
I have read reviews that this device is noisy, but I have found it to be quiet. There is a slight whirring sound, but it does not interrupt my TV watching while riding.
The tires make a lot of noise while pedaling at normal speed and the noise level rises with pedaling speed.
I did not expect the trainer to be silent, but it is a bit loud for my test. I have hardwood floor and roommates close by.
72% found it portable
The bike-resistance-trainer is portable and saves a lot of space, it can be placed in a small corner of the room.
66% praised the resistance level, but 34% found them too limited
The trainer has fairly good resistance levels and is smooth and not too loud.
When I set the resistance level to 5 and the chain in the most downhill friendly gear, it became very difficult to spin the crank.
Some reviews indicate little to no resistance, which could be due to improper bike mounting or advanced biking skills.
When I pedal slower on higher difficulties, I notice that the resistance is not uniform.
I have plenty of adjustability with the built-in level adjuster and by shifting gears on my bike itself. I set the gearing on my bike and the pressure on the rear roller to tire so that pedaling is moderate.
