About RaceFace Chester Mountain Bike Pedal
Overall Feedback:
92% positive
92% liked the pedals' adjustability, but 8% found it difficult to customize
I found that the pedals can be adjusted with an allen wrench, but the nuts they thread in to are held in place by the composite material, which makes it difficult to adjust. I had to jam the point of a utility knife between the side of the nut and the composite to make it a tighter fit. This made the process of adjusting the pedals tedious. However, I love the pedals now that they are adjusted.
94% liked the pedals' sleek design
I appreciate the slim profile and aggressive look of the pedals, and also like the fact that they look unassuming in black.
The width of the pedal is perfect for my size 11 shoe, not too narrow or wide.
96% appreciated the pedals' durability
I have not faced any durability issues with the pedals and doubt that I ever will.
The pedals are well made and should be indestructible. The material and grip of the screw studs were also mentioned.
94% found the pedals easy to install
I found the installation process of the pedals easy and straightforward. I was able to install them using a crescent wrench.
The pedals are easy to service.
I have not mentioned the ease of installation of these bike pedals.
93% praised for its excellent grip
The new pedals provide much better grip than the old ones.
The pedals feel super grippy and almost like my feet are locked in.
98% praised for its smooth pedal float
After approximately 30 miles of usage, I found no slips while using the pedals on rocky and muddy trails in western PA.
87% liked the pedals' spacious size
The pedals are wide and have a low profile, making my feet comfortable. I've had pedals in the past that required constant foot position changes, but not these.
After 2 years of usage and abuse, I can confirm that the pedals are still intact, indicating their durability.
