Bike-lube not only cleans the gunk out of the seals but also lubes the seals on front forks, rear sus, and droppers.
I found this bike-lube to be 100% necessary for my dropper post. After cleaning the post and adding the lube, I cycled up and down a few times and wiped off the excess. My next ride had zero dropper issues. Without using this, after about 3 rides, the dropper would go back to getting wonky. I recommend it for that purpose.
I use the bike-lube for cleaning by spreading a small amount close to the wiper seals, working the fork, spreading the excess on the stanchions and wiping it dry with a soft clean rag.
I use this lube about every 10 rides, which is about every two months, but the trails I ride are very gritty and sandy and can wreak havoc on a fork.
