About WD-40 Specialist Bike Chain Lube
Overall Feedback:
83% positive
75% liked its ability to clean the chain
The easiest way to clean my bike is without disassembly.
I have a hack for cleaning bike-lube. Use a cheap nylon brush and put the gear range in the middle. Freewheel backwards to clean while holding the brush on the rear cassette.
After 4 years of riding the same bike, the chain rides like new again with the bike lube cleaning it up so well.
The foaming action of our bike-lube cleans the drive train really well.
86% found it easy to apply, while 14% struggled with the process
This lube is easy to apply and does not drip or make a mess.
I found the product quick, easy to use, and highly effective for someone who rides a few thousand miles every year.
I suggest applying a small amount of bike-lube, keeping the chain rotating and changing gears. Then, remove the excess with a rag. This will keep my bike and chain clean and prolong its lifespan.
I applied the degreaser, let it sit for two minutes, and rinsed. After a quick scrub with a shop towel, it looked brand new.
My previous lube lasted for 300 miles before I needed to clean and lube again. However, this WD-40 lube did not last even for a 30-mile ride.
Neglecting to clean and lubricate my bike regularly can lead to the buildup of grime and the premature destruction of components such as the cassette, chainrings, and chain.
My previous lube lasted for 300 miles before needing to clean and lube again, but this WD-40 didn't even last for 30 miles.
76% praised for its excellent lubrication, while 24% thought it wore off quickly
This bike lube penetrates deep into the chain links, protecting them from rust and corrosion while reducing friction and noise for a smoother, quieter ride.
WD-40 dry lube does a great job at lubricating without attracting dirt and muck.
The product penetrates deep into the chain links, protecting them from rust and corrosion. It also reduces friction and noise, making my ride smoother and quieter.
After using the product for a month, I noticed that the drive train was very noisy and there was extreme wear and tear on the chainring. However, after using a different lube, it became much smoother, quieter, and looked more lubricated.
Bike-lube is great for dry conditions and lubricates the chain really well, but it won't last in wet conditions.
Within 20 minutes, the chain became noisy in the same conditions where T9 lasted 3 days.
After using the bike chain lube for a month, I noticed that the drive train was noisy and the chainring showed extreme wear and tear, indicating poor lubrication performance of the product.
After 40 minutes, the chain was hanging up and sucking around the chainring.
69% appreciated its water-resistant properties, though 31% found it washed off easily
I noticed that the chain did not have many problems and was slow to accumulate mud.
I found that the product is not water resistant as it did not hold up in a rain storm.
In a rain storm, the product did not hold up. It is not an all-purpose lube.
When I used the Park Tool Cleaner system along with the product, it worked really well.
