About Finish Line Ceramic WET Bicycle Chain Lube
Overall Feedback:
79% positive
82% liked its ability to clean the chain, but 18% found it left residue
My cleaning process for the bike-lube involves running the chain through a cleaner with citrus degreaser after about 3-5 rides, then running it through a shop rag and letting it dry thoroughly. I then apply the lube, run the chain through all the gears, wipe the excess off the rings and gears and let it sit for an hour or so before removing the excess from the chain. In between cleanings, I lightly grasp the sides of the chain in a shop rag and most dirt comes right off.
Despite regular cleanings, my chain wear indication went from 0.75 to 1.0 in 2 weeks (about 350-400 miles) while using the lubricant.
73% appreciated its long-lasting effect
I have compared this lube with dry lubes and found it to be much smoother and longer lasting.
84% praised for its excellent lubrication, while 16% thought it wore off quickly
The ceramic component in the lube contributes to good lubrication at low temperatures.
This Finish Line Ceramic lube is the only thing I buy anymore as it really stood out as superior.
I now only use this lubricant on my Trek Madone chain, gears, and derailleurs.
Despite regular cleanings, my chain wear indication went from 0.75 to 1.0 in 2 weeks while using this lubricant, resulting in the replacement of my chain.
79% appreciated its water-resistant properties
I have found that this bike-lube repels water better than anything I have ever used and prevents rust longer between applications.
The bike-lube deflects moisture like a hot butter knife through butter.

I suggest keeping the accumulating muck off of the contact sponge for better use of the bike-lube.
