About MAXXHAUL 50027 Hitch Mount Platform Style 2-Bike Rack
Overall Feedback:
92% positive
87% found the rack stable, but 13% experienced wobbling
I am concerned that the bikes tend to tip from left to right while on the rack, which worries me about the stability of the rack.
I noticed that other vehicles with tray style hitch mounts did not have this wobble, implying that the product is unstable.
When bikes are attached, the whole unit sways side to side with over a 6 inch sway, indicating instability.
86% felt their bikes were secure
Our bikes are secure and well protected.
I still use a bungy as a secondary security measure, but it is probably not necessary.
87% found the installation process straightforward, but 13% encountered difficulties
I installed the bike carrier onto the hitch securely.
The installation process was quick and easy despite the vague instructions, thanks to the pictures and common sense.
I found the rack easy to install, but it was loose. To fix this, I added more bolts and used bungey cords to keep it tight. I prefer it to have minimal play in each joint.
89% found it easy to load and unload their bikes
It is easy for me to get my bike off and on.
I found it easy to load and unload the bikes and also load them on my Rav4 with a backdoor mounted spare tire.
The bike rack is simple and easy to use for getting from point A to point B.
Assembling the product was easy and it is very user-friendly.

I added string on both ends of the ramp as a precaution because I was concerned it might break and get lost.
