At high speeds, the rack stayed stable and the bikes did not move, indicating its effectiveness in carrying bikes.
The safety pin can only be inserted for an inch and it is very easy for it to fall out, indicating that the stability of the bicycle-car-rack is not up to the mark.

I am more concerned about the security of the hitch mount remaining fastened than using a key to keep the rack from being heisted.
My new ebike came off the rack while traveling down the road. Luckily, no one was injured or hit the bike before I was able to remove it from traffic, but the bike suffered major damage in the fall.
The lock is counterintuitive and will not secure to my 2" uhaul receiver.
I have noticed a serious safety issue and design flaw with the hitch mount. Although the anti-wobble mechanism initially tightened everything up and the hitch mount felt secure, it still wobbles within the trailer hitch after putting 2 mountain bikes on it. I have no doubt that the anti-wobble mechanism will eventually loosen during a longer drive or when hitting bumps, leaving only the loose and wobbly safety pin to secure the rack to the car, which doesn't actually secure anything.
