About PanaVise Model 201 "Junior" Miniature Vise
Overall Feedback:
76% positive
67% praised for its strong clamping force, while 33% found it lacking.
The bench-vise clamps well even after years of use and is adjustable to almost any angle.
I noticed that the plastic in the jaws of the clamp deforms slightly from the heat of my soldering iron. This is the only drawback I faced with the clamp.
The clamp's only drawback is that the plastic in its jaws deforms slightly from the heat of my soldering iron.
When I used the clamp for model ship building, I found it to be not sturdy at all.
79% liked the durable construction
The metal base is stable and sturdy with no issues.
75% found it easy to use
I can easily clamp round stock or hold a board by its edges with the v-shaped grooves on the jaws. Additionally, I can flip a board for soldering by operating the universal joint at the top of the base, which was not possible with my previous set of Helping Hands.
67% appreciated the high-quality quality, but 33% found some parts flimsy.
The vise uses a cheap zinc plated thread instead of an acme thread. Even my cheapo Olympia vise has an acme thread.
I found that the jaws and ball clamp are fragile and lack clamping and holding power.
The suction base is surprisingly strong and long-lasting.
