I have set the trimmer to the closest guard setting, 2mm, and believe it would work better for people with longer facial hair.
I have a trimmer with an adjustable length guide comb that locks in to 11 different length settings ranging from 2 to 18mm.
There are no length adjustment settings for 7, 9, 11 mm.
The length adjustment is not as precise as the Phillips dial and needs to be reset after cleaning the head.

I am dissatisfied with the design of the beard trimmer. The depth guide is poorly designed and flexes easily, making it difficult to use in tight situations like trimming under the nose. Additionally, the lock control to change adjustments is terrible and hard to move accurately.
