The bathtub-mats are soft and comfortable on bare feet. I have fibromyalgia and extremely sensitive skin, but this product did not cause any pain or discomfort. It felt a little weird at first but not horrible or painful.
The bathtub mat is comfortable to stand on and feels like getting a foot massage.
The mat worked great for me as it is super comfortable and grippy on the feet and in the shower.
These shower/bath mats are the most comfortable I have used in 56 years.

The bottom of the mat is not very grippy as it is made of the same material used to line kitchen cabinets/drawers.
