I do not leave the bark-collars on all the time as I do not want to stop all barking and want my dog to bark if there is a threat.
The bark collar is convenient for all weather conditions and saves money on batteries as it is waterproof and rechargeable.
I used the collar on myself and found that it is just an annoying beep and vibration that does not hurt.

I was able to adjust the collar to its smallest size to fit my neck. It is lightweight and does not bother me.

The two power modes are nice, and the sensitivity setting is a great way to dial in the type of noise that is acceptable. The device comes pre-set at a softer setting of four, so there is no danger of a rough response during setup. Dialing it up to a six or seven captures my vocal pops range well.
I had to keep an eye on the sensitivity settings of the bark-collar as it was beeping and vibrating even when my dog was just whimpering or sighing, and I had to keep changing the settings.
