The backpack easily fits my bulky Pelican laptop case, which measures more than 17”, and still leaves plenty of room to store everything else I need on a trip. Despite being able to hold so much stuff, it still appears to be about the same size as normal backpacks you’d normally see people bring on planes as personal items.
