About SWISSGEAR 1900 ScanSmart Laptop Backpack
Overall Feedback:
73% positive
68% were satisfied with the additional features
I personally observed that the backpack is designed to allow TSA to scan the gear without removing the laptop/tablet.
I found the backpack comfortable with weight balancing and comfortable straps.
I found the backpack convenient with numerous pockets and compartments, making it easy to stow my gear.
69% liked the material quality, but 31% didn't
The shoulder straps on my backpack are fraying and tearing away from the seams, giving it a shabby look. I'm uncertain about how long it will remain functional.
I am disappointed with the quality of fabric on this backpack. The handles started ripping after only one week of use, which is unacceptable.
68% were satisfied with the size, but 32% weren't
I am satisfied with the size of the backpack and it can carry a good amount of weight.
The backpack advertised to fit a 17 inch laptop cannot accommodate a 17.3 inch laptop. It needs to be 1/2 inch bigger.
69% appreciated the versatility
The backpack can be attached to the carry-on handle for easier commuting across the airport.
I appreciate the multiple bags in my backpack that allow for good organization and distribution of electronics and personal stuff.
66% found it water resistant, while 34% raised concerns
I got some water inside my backpack during a day of heavy rain, and I think it is due to the position of the zipper ends.
I appreciate the backpack's additional features, including plenty of pockets for small items like EarPods, phone, and pen cases. It is also comfortable to use with shoulder-friendly straps and an adjustable strap.
The backpack material is thin and the straps need to be extended almost all the way before putting it on. I doubt it can hold more than 30 lb without ripping.
The backpack is light and does not add much weight to my check-in luggage when not in need.
