These fender flares are not suitable for covering up rust as the hardware does not grab the panel/pull it close to the body, resulting in air gaps and a swinging flare visible in the mirror.

The installation process was difficult and took about 3 hours to complete. I had to drill holes and cut the fender to make it fit. The hardest part was keeping the fender seal on since it doesn't have adhesive inside of it.
