I faced an issue with the resistance of the bulbs.
I installed back-up light bulbs in my car which were causing a problem with the battery. I replaced the battery twice but still faced the issue. After extensive testing, the dealer found that the bulbs were the cause of the problem by drawing a higher resistance and not letting the body control module to enter sleep mode creating the parasitic draw. The GM engineer determined that these bulbs were the root cause generating the initial failure and after replacing them with the original factory bulbs, the issue was resolved.
If we remove the two extra wires, the bulb will hyper flash because it doesn't have enough electrical resistance to flash at a normal speed with how Toyota times the blinking of the turn signal.
