About Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO, Audiophile Turntable
69% appreciated its versatility, although 31% faced compatibility issues
The Rainier cartridge is great for a wide variety of genres.
The cartridge was not properly aligned and the azimuth was not adjusted on my tonearm.
84% enjoyed the playback features, but 16% didn't
The sound of the turntable is full, crisp, warm, and clear, indicating excellent playback features.
I am concerned about the tonearm not returning automatically at the end of the record.
72% found it easy to customize
I have found a solution to the common issue with the turntable's anti-skate mechanism. By adjusting the angle of the metal hook that governs the line's geometry, weight, and detent, the little loop was able to loop around the detents at a more secure 90-degree angle. This was achieved by loosening the screw, rotating the hook counterclockwise, and then tightening it.
75% highlighted the tonearm weight, but 25% raised concerns
I couldn't balance the tonearm and close the dust cover due to the terrible tonearm weight design.
I find the tonearm weight difficult to handle because of the obtuse angle from the hook where the line passes through and the end of the tonearm. The monofilament loop does not catch onto the detents securely, causing the weight to fall every time I move the tonearm.
