About Denon DP-300F Fully Automatic Analog Turntable
Overall Feedback:
71% positive
81% appreciated its versatility, although 19% faced compatibility issues
I plan to upgrade the included cartridge to an Audio Technica AT-VM95EN, which is a good step up and gets good reviews.
I would never consider using a moving coil cartridge on a turntable like this, even though the Audio Technica version has that capability in its onboard preamp.
89% enjoyed the playback features, but 11% didn't
I run the turntable through a Macintosh to Audio Monitor Gold 300 speakers with a REL sub, indicating my personal experience with the playback features.
I purchased this turntable mainly for its auto start feature, but it is not working properly. When I press the start button after cleaning, the arm drops on the record and immediately returns.
73% found it easy to customize, but 27% struggled with adjustments
I faced a speed issue with my first turntable. It was going too fast and I tried to adjust the speed but then it was stuck at 29 rpm at the 33 rpm setting.
The turntable was spinning a bit fast, not quite at 33 1/3 RPM out of the box.
89% highlighted the tonearm weight
I can use the cue lever to move the tonearm manually.
85% were satisfied with the usb connectivity, but 15% weren't
I did not mention anything about USB connectivity of the turntable.
I knew that the RCA cables and power cord were not detachable when I bought it.
I am frustrated with the USB connectivity of the turntable. It needs to be grounded if not using inferior Bluetooth or USB for output. I am disappointed with the manufacturer for not including a ground wire with the RCA outputs.
I have paired the turntable with Edifier R1280DB speakers and it delivers crisp, rich, and immersive audio that has truly enhanced my listening experience.
I faced issues with the tone arm of the turntable. It was not dropping and often drifted away from the vinyl when it did lower, making it difficult to use. I tried to resolve the issue by myself but was not able to do so.
