About Aleene's Gel Glue, 8-Ounce, Clear
Overall Feedback:
87% positive
92% praised the flexible bond
I make fabric beads and use a 1/2 and 1/2 mix to stiffen the fabric, allowing me to cut it to size and roll it into a bead.
93% liked the user-friendly application
This glue is easy to use as it stays where you already covered while slowly turning the ornament.
I like how tacky this glue is and how easy it is to clean up. It holds the part in place almost instantly yet gives me a minute or two to reposition if I make a mistake. Also, it is easy to clean up: a damp paper towel will remove any undesired glue easily.
The glue bottle has a tip and the glue is thicker than white glue, making it easy for me to use without making too much of a mess.
90% appreciated the quick drying time
The glue is clear and does not dry white like some other glues claiming to be clear.
This glue stays where I already covered while slowly turning the ornament, indicating its drying time.
After around 15 minutes, I am able to glue it on pretty well, but it takes 48 hours to fully cure.

91% liked the long-lasting bond
The glue dries in a day or so and does not let the glitter come off.
91% praised the strong adhesive bond, yet 9% didn't
I have found that the glue holds well for simple crafts and is better than glue sticks and white glue.
The glue needs 48 hours to fully cure, but after around 15 minutes, it is glued on pretty well.
The glue is strong enough to hold the shells in place and even the whole mirror can rest on one shell and still stay put.
After leaving the cloth under a weight attached to the wood for a few minutes, I noticed that it still came off, indicating that the adhesive strength is not good enough.
It's very difficult to remove this glue from my hands, even after washing it immediately. I've tried different methods like nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, and dawn dish soap, but nothing worked. Based on my experience, I can say that it's a challenging task.
I have personally observed that the bond between the patch and the jeans is so strong that it cannot be removed, indicating the longevity of the bond.
